On Thursday 7 February 2019, all new incoming Onsite students for this academic school year, attended an induction day at the RISE in Maylands. It was pleasing to see the students attend in smart attire and represent the College and themselves in such a high standard throughout the day.

The purpose of the day is to provide specific information on the procedures and protocols that are required prior to entering the work experience program. The students had various speakers address them and gained invaluable insight into what industry leaders are looking for in prospective employees. The talks were very motivational and sparked our students into thinking seriously about their future career pathway options.

A parent information evening will follow on Monday 11 February 2019 in the College Auditorium. Student success in this program does rely on a partnership of all stakeholders and the engagement of our parents assists in providing the best possible outcomes for our Onsite participants.

A reminder that whilst some of our individual student programs commenced in Mid-January or may have commenced recently, the official start date for General Onsite work experience is Friday March 1 2019. Please note there are some variations to the day of attendance and parents and students are reminded to check their individual Onsite calendar for more information.
