21 December 2018

It was certainly a very special evening to remember as the Class of 2018 Graduands had their Graduation Mass on Wednesday 17 October.

The Mass coordinated by Ms Jennifer Waller, Liturgy Coordinator was celebrated by Fr Richard Sadowski SDS, College Chaplain and concelebrated Fr Leonard Macionczyk SDS, Spiritual Director of Lay Salvatorians in Australia,

Fr Laurence Murphy SD, Rev Fr Benny Calanza, St Brigid’s Church, Rev Fr Antony Suresh, Holy Family Church, Rev Fr Michael Separovich, Our Lady of Lourdes Church and Rev Fr Anand Reddy, St Mary’s Parish.

The 64 Pastoral Care Advisors processed into the Patricia Rodrigues Centre with their Year 12 Pastoral Care Group and their House Coordinators presented each student within their House to Mr Bull.  Students received a Certificate of Graduation from Mr Bull, a set of rosary beads acknowledging the De La Salle Brothers special devotion to Mary by Mr Adrian Martino, Vice Principal - Christian Ministry and a candle representing the light of Christ by Fr Richard Sadowski SDS, College Chaplain.

Parents were moved by the ‘To My Parents’ poem read by College Head Girl and Boy, Lauren Versaci and Jacob Schelfhout and the presentation of a single red rose and the scroll of the poem by each of the Year 12 students to their parents.

Mr Wayne Bull, Lauren and Jacob together with Deputy Head Girl, Amy Hancock and Deputy Head Boy, Samuel Denham-White cut the Graduation cake before walking out of the Patricia Rodriguez Centre for the final time as La Salle College students.

Under the coordination of Ms Shonnie, Year 12 Coordinator (ceremony), Ms Jennifer Waller, Liturgy Coordinator (Mass) and Ms Shellie Rodriguez, Director of Events (overall coordination) together with the talents of the La Salle College Liturgy Ensemble, La Salle College Choir, De La Dolce and Liturgical Dance Ensemble it was certainly a very moving and memorable occasion for all attending.
