The week of promoting the importance of learning another language and appreciating cultural diversity and acceptance, known as Languages Week was coordinated by Ms Margherita De Filippi and the Languages Learning Area.    


The variety of events organised were :

Languages Week PCG Quiz

Staff vs Students Indoor Soccer Match (Italian) in the Patricia Rodrigues Centre.   Congratulations to the staff for winning this match.  The final score was 1-0, the winning goal scored by Mr Fitzpatrick). The game was played in excellent spirit and it was fun to watch.

Ping-Pong Tournament (Chinese) in the under croft area. 

Italian Arancini (rice) balls were sold and pop up store of Chinese and Italian food were on sale.

The traditional Languages Week Staff Luncheon, catered by the Year 11 and 12 Hospitality students and Ms Annie Bui. This year’s menu was a fusion of Chinese and Italian dishes and drinks.

The Italian Gelato Cart was a crowd pleaser with a choice of 3 Italian ice-cream flavours.

A languages display was also seen in the iCentre.
