La Salle College Aboriginal Teacher Assistant and WA Artist, Mr Kevin
Bynder’s artistic flair and design have earned him the privilege of being the
chosen designer for both the West Coast Eagles and Port Adelaide for the Indigenous
Kevin, a Whadjuk-Yuet-Balaadong man from his mother and a Badamia Yamatji
from his father has been an artist
for 17 years and has also had his design chosen in 2016 for
the Western Australia’s Men’s and Women’s State Aboriginal teams for the
National Indigenous Cricket Championships.
The 2018 AFL Sir Douglas Nicholls Indigenous Round Guernsey’s were
designed in conjunction with the club’s each unique culture and history.
Made more special for Kevin is the collaboration design with his nephew,
Port Adelaide Football Club ruckman, Paddy Ryder.
West Coast Eagles Guernsey will be worn in Round 11 against St Kilda and Round
16 against GWS Giants. Port Adelaide
Guernsey will be worn in Round 11 against Hawthorn and Round 12 against Richmond.
Kevin has been an invited guest for the Port Adelaide game on Thursday 7
June and also will be presenting the Guernsey’s at the Port Adelaide Youth
Kevin has also been invited to the Eagles vs St Kilda Indigenous
Round this Saturday, June 2 and will be visiting the team prior to the game.
