Wednesday 18 October will remain a memorable day not just for the graduating Class of 2017 but to their families and the College staff. Their six-year journey at La Salle College may seem to have reached the end but it marks the beginning of a new journey.
The day began with the Graduation Breakfast at Mulberry on Swan, where they enjoyed a buffet breakfast. Following that was a College Assembly where students were presented with numerous awards such as the Lasallian Excellence Award, 100% Academic Achievement and 100% Attendance.
In the evening, the Class of 2017, along with family, friends and staff celebrated with mass and a graduation ceremony. It was a moment of pride to see the Principal, Mr Wayne Bull, the Senior Leadership Team, Learning and Teaching Team, teaching staff and Father Richard, College Chaplain in full academic regalia presenting themselves as fine examples of achieving Academic Excellence.
In his address, Mr Bull mentioned how significant the moment was for the graduating class as it would be the last time they came together as a cohort. It was an honor and blessing for the community to celebrate Mass and acknowledge the graduates as they walked out of the Patricia Rodrigues Centre for the final time. Year 12 Coordinator Ms Yvette Cobley, was filled with pride and affection and is looking forward to seeing the Class of 2017 at Presentation Evening and the Graduation Ball.
