As Australians celebrate Fathers’ Day on Sunday 3 September, it is important to acknowledge why the role of a dad is so important. Fathers have the responsibility of caring for their families. They are pivotal in the emotional welfare of their children.
Community Mass on Thursday 31 August celebrated the gift of fathers and father figures in our community. Over 70 fathers and their children attended the mass and breakfast. The cold, wet weather conditions did not dampen their spirits as they were treated to an array of croissants, pastries, egg and bacon muffins and hot beverages.
Student Representative Council members ushered the special guests to the chapel and assisted with hosting the breakfast. It was lovely to see so many families come together to share a meal.
Wishing all fathers and father figures, a happy day on Sunday and may God continue to bless them in carrying out this important role.
